Large birds, close shots and dozens of geese near your feet, that’s the adrenaline rush you’re looking for! Seeing the guide making the calls and waiting for the signal to shoot is what’s gonna make you feel alive and addicted!
In the early season, we start hunting in the northern agricultural lands of the province, which is in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean area, where we get birds that haven’t been stressed yet. This gives us the chance to offer the best quality hunts in the west of Canada. We then follow the migration from north to south until December.
EARLY GOOSE SEASON
Pre-season starts on September 1st and ends on September 25th with a daily limit of 10 birds/hunter. For conservation reasons, the daily limit between September 26th and October 31st went down to 2 or 3 birds/hunter, depending on the district.
REGULAR SEASON
From November 1st to December 20th, the daily limit goes back up to 5 birds/hunter.
A typical hunting day lasts half a day and takes part in the morning. You can hunt in the afternoon too, according to your booking.
The majority of our hunts are in agricultural fields, but it is also a possibility to go by boat for a unique experience.
TORONTO LATE SEASON
We also add a winter Canada Goose hunt season on the Ontario territory, near Toronto. This prolongated season has been established to target resident geese in urban areas between February 25th and March 4th, where it is allowed to hunt 10 birds a day per person.
Hunt’s dynamic in these hunts is completely different from the one we have when we’re familiar in migration season. We hunt on the outskirts of cities that have a lower energy demand. For those reasons, the hunt lasts a whole day, starting from the sunrise to the sunrise.
